Why is Biblical view work important?

1)       time we spend

2)       American business culture – Eph. 5:15

3)       American churches

 Result is tension

1)       give life to work

2)       work doesn’t matter – full time

Why go to work – creation mandate

1)       bring order and beauty physical world

2)       bring order and beauty to humanity

 *Define success:  faithfulness in utilize. Resources given ( time, $, relationships, abilities) in manner honoring God

 *Dangers Entanglements

                lay aside every weight and sin which entangles me

 *Authority is God-given and controlled -- Prov. 26:1

 *Work should be directed to God not just boss – Eph. 6:6

 *God determines your income – no necessary connection between how hard we work and our income

                We can’t indebt God

 *Be careful how spend time
